Copyright Template and the Importance of Grammar for your EBook

Greetings Followers,

If you’ve been following along on my book journey to make money you will now know, how to create a word template and go about getting your cover photo made. The next few pieces are kind of short so I’ve combined them into one.

First off is getting your book edited. It doesn’t matter if that someone is family or friend or a paid stranger. Just make sure you do it! But make sure that you have full confidence they’ll do it right! I wish to completely stay anonymous so I can’t have friends and family edit my book because I’ve told no one about what I’m doing. Instead, I went back to the same place I got my book cover made, fiverr.com. I paid more to have this done because I think it’s very important that it’s done right.

Just like doing my cover photo I created a request of what I wanted done and waited for people with the skills I for sure don’t have, to make an offer. No joke, I put the request in before I went to bed and it was approved while I was sleeping and I had 31 offers to go through when I woke up in the morning. It was great! But only one person stood out to me for a few reasons.

One, She spoke fluent English. (Several cheaper offers had broken English and lead me to believe that they were probably not the best choice)

Two, there weren’t any grammar, spelling or punctuation errors in her offer (which I liked since that is what I want her to be checking for. You would be amazed at how many offers had errors in their offer)

Three, I could tell she actually opened up my book and LOOKED at it. In her offer she responded back with the details of how many words the book had and how many pages, so I knew she took the time to open the book I had attached to see if it would be something she would even consider.

I had offers ranging all over the place form $5.00 to $300.00. This person charged $65.00. I think this was a wise investment. Even though her turnaround time was much longer (15 days, rather than most people who took 4-7 days), I was okay with that. She also mentioned how she was a college student trying to make extra money on the side, so in my mind I fell like she does need the extra to review the book while still studying for classes.

At this point I have now paid $80.00 total to get my book done. But again, if you know someone that you can trust to do an awesome job editing for you, than you don’t need to spend so much.

Okay now copyright information. So with an Ebook the copy right information tends to be pretty much the same as a paperback book. I was also just reading the other night that some places that sell Ebooks don’t require it. Even still, I put it in there, just in case. Below is a generic one that you can use. Please make sure to update the year and author name appropriately!
